Sensor Measurement, right where you need it.

The sensors used in electronic systems help monitor vehicle safety by precisely measuring and transmitting data in real time.

Monitoring

is the most important task performed by sensors in electronic systems. Precise data measurement is an essential foundation for any safety system. Sensors improve traffic safety, while ensuring good driving dynamics. Precise information from real-time data is essential for high-quality safety control circuits – in any kind of safety system.

Wheel Speed Sensors (WSS) – Don’t spin out

The most important safety systems in commercial vehicles include Electronic Braking Systems (EBS) and the associated Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). From trucks to buses and trailers, vehicles need to brake in critical driving situations, without locking up the tires. To do so, the vehicle needs Wheel Speed Sensors (WSS) that measure the precise wheel speeds of all monitored wheels. The information delivered by the sensors allows the control unit to complete calculations exactly in just fractions of a second.

Steering Angle Sensors (SAS) – Stay on course

The Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) measures the turning angle of the steering wheel, delivering important information for the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) of the EBS system. It is generally installed in the steering column and ensures better stability and improved driving dynamics.

Yaw Rate Sensor (YRS) – Keep moving straight ahead

The Yaw Rate Sensor (YRS) in a commercial vehicle records the torque around the vertical axis. The yaw rate sensor is installed close to the vehicle's center of gravity, for ideal data recording. Its purpose is to report directly to the electronic braking system, any tendency by the vehicle to skid or break away.

Level sensors – Keep it level

Level sensors monitor the suspension level of commercial vehicles with air springs while driving. If they record deviations or changes, they communicate this information directly to the relevant safety systems for better comfort, efficiency and safety.

Pressure sensors – No room for error

Every truck needs compressed air – for instance for the air springs, to trigger the parking brake, or to brake using the service brake. These systems are important for vehicle safety and have to work at all times. Precise data recording and direct transmission by pressure sensors are essential to traffic safety. Pressure sensors record the rated pressure at different points on the vehicle. Changes are transmitted to the respective control circuits in real time.
